How well does your bird and the goats get along? I'd love to keep both goats and a parrot of some kind. LaMancha goats seem wonderful :)

@MariusElvenwood Oh no problem at all. The goats will occasionally sniff at, but otherwise ignore the bird... Leo would tolerate standing on them, but he'd eventually fly away. They pretty much just left each other alone.

Do you have to do anything to the milk before you drink it?

Before drinking it, no. We put a piece of cheesecloth over the milk bucket and milk onto that, to make sure nothing yucky (like hair) falls in. It tastes best if it goes *straight* into the fridge.
In order to sell it, it must be pasteurized, but as of some new research, lots of people are looking for the benefits of non-pasteurized milk.

Their ears aren't cut. They are LaMancha goats, which naturally have ears like that.
