Shawarma - Bahrain's favourite food

My son Arif decided to get some shawarmas and go meet some of his friends. He wanted to get them from Shawarma Xpress, a new true-blue Bahraini franchise. I thought I'd get some for our lunch too as this is the very first time that I had a shawarma from this place.

As we waited I was intrigued by the non-standard (ie, professional) way they prepared the wraps, so I thought I'd film the experience and share it with you all.

It was good actually, better than I expected. However, order the small size which should be sufficient for most people. My eyes were hungrier than my stomach and i ordered the large size. One of those was enough to my usual 3 from other places!

Also tell them to take it easy on the sauce (tahina) they use and if I were to order again (which I undoubtedly will) I will get them without cheese.

Overall rating? I would say a 7.5 out of 10.

I miss shawarma xpress. I guess the reason I miss it so much is because of the different sauces you could choose to put in it. Well I guess I just miss good shawarma in general.

Shawama Xpress ...is not that good,besides it is it mado on the indian way,and its nothing got to do with Shawarma taste in Lebanon or Syria.

The sharwama Xpress sucks ....its taste too dry and not that good.

shawarma xpress is an over-rated restaurant, ppl treat it as if it invented shawarma, the meat isnt that good and its by far the smallest shawarma ive seen and its selling for 500fils, id eat 4 of those lol n that makes it 2bd, the whole point of shawarma is to eat it when the wallet is empty "re5ee9 o gowey" :p
