Oct. 12, 2013: Running back Terrell Watson scored five touchdowns to lead Azusa Pacific to a 44-36 Homecoming win over Great Northwest Athletic Conference rival Simon Fraser. Watson and the Cougars trailed at halftime, 23-3, but Watson ran for 232 of his 302 rushing yards and four of his five TDs in the fourth quarter alone to break the Azusa Pacific single-game rushing record previously held by Christian Okoye and Marcus Lampkin with 248 yards each. Watson tied the GNAC single-game rushing TD record, and he also broke Azusa Pacific records for points, total TDs, and rushing TDs, earning GNAC Conference Player of the Week and D2Football.com National Player of the Week honors for the Cougars, who share the GNAC lead halfway through the 10-game conference schedule.
