yep, pretty much a straight forward and tight arrangement that is almost note for note to the original.
The only difference being that the last solo (which would normally be played on guitar) has been arranged for horns. But, it is exactly the same as the original (guitar).
Trey's solo is also a note for note copy.
Probably the tightest and neatest cover of this tune. But, that should be expected. It is Trey and his road band. They are supposed to be good.

Wish Trey had cut loose at the end after the horns played their rhythm solo. Without that it's just another cover.

@schmohawks Well, as of night before last (6/14/2011), he is back in every way shape and form. It was my first time seeing Phish, or even Trey for that matter, since the IT festival in 2003. He is in such great shape. He looks good, he sounds good... It's great to see.

this a trumpet playing rock and roll band were going to do all the guitar parts on horns you know where to stick it dire straits

btw who could seriously dislike this video ....awww did you get bored by the smarts of the band covering a genuine classic, quality of the video? or just those fuckers that dislike every video they come by....whatever your reasons i hope you listen to the song once more and understand what its about

great job yes and its not just the molly hahaha

@pinkamos omg? like you're a custy brah, thats why you dont get it. your n00bs showing..

i like phish, trey, mark knopfler, and the dire straits but the horns just don't do justice compared to Mark's guitar playing in this song. The horns are playing most of the leads.

If you don't like this, why watch? Go watch some other videos to suit your tastes. What is food to somebody might be a poison to somebody. I don't think you need to tell anybody else that this video sucks for you because somebody else will always like it.

@junior61106 This song in particular? I guess it's a little boring for my tastes
Trey's band in general? Because they blend rock and roll's harmonic language with the form and tradition of jazz.

Anyone know what show?
