  • In Japan it is known but...

The director has farm for all animals and he lives together.

Actually bear and dog, cats..etc live in good relation, grow up together, that's why this movie became possible.

It's so amazing that's why he became famous.

He lives together by suited way to treating for each animals..

Actually he lives with all animals as family member.

I really recommend to see Japanese version.

It is more calm and mystic beauty throughout the whole film without such voices, music.

  • This is blatant animal cruelty. A cat shouldn't mess with a harmless grass snake. A de-clawed, tamed bear should never tussle with a dog who is clearly not in any pain nor showing fear. People (the film makers) should not ever place a harmless adhesive on a kittens paw, as it clearly distresses the kitten to the point of drug taking. And a 10-20 foot fall into water is so obviously deadly for a cat (search "flying cat", among others!) that they needed to replace it 20 times over.

    /rant.

  • I think that they should have kept the Japanese music in the US release

  • i broke my disc in half and threw it in the garbage. FUCK THIS MOVIE AND FUCK THE A-HOLES WHO TORTURED THOSE POOR ANIMALS >:(

  • @magnus1114 I highly doubt any weren't harmed. There is a scene where Milo gets a crab caught on his tail, and Otis get slapped around by a bear, that's harm. I'm trying not to point out the obvious "thrown off the cliff" scene. Where is the proof that they were safe? and unharmed? The back of the box sure doesn't say "No animals were harmed in the making of this movie"! (I just checked)

Prove me wrong, show me that no animals were harmed or killed.

  • @MikkiiMuffin Dude, there weren't any animals killed/harmed in this movie- there's a lot of rumours of it, but they were all proven wrong or groundless. You're an idiot.

  • I'm hearing these rumors saying that animals were harmed in the making of this movie. I'm hoping this isn't true. :( I'd cry if I saw any animals harmed, especially cats. That's one of my biggest pet peeves and sensitivity issues. I love cats to death and would hate to see them get harmed. That said, I used to like this movie back in high school. They claim at the end that no animals were harmed. I'm hoping that is true, but I dunno.

  • @jellybrother Well, claims weren`t proven, but they still were extremely strong cases and what your saying is exactly what the director and producers said, and I have know clue where you`d get 99.9% from.

  • @Spartamin None of these claims could be proven. Furthermore, they all came from Australians and Europeans, who with a chance of 99.9% weren't around when the film was shot in *Japan*.

  • @Sauron767 I don't think they will :'( I'm pretty sure Milo & Otis died.

  • Otis fights a rhino beetle.

  • damn the chinese verios is soooooo much better
