To theRealist, you may have a point if the immigration is in the family sponsored category, but not if the people come in through the workers category. The people require degrees, masters degrees, and good work experiance to get in. These are not people who are sponging off the system.

Well, people are warned their skills may be useless in Canada. So if they still want to go it is their choice. Go get trained for a new profession in Canada. What is stopping you? Only yourselves. If someone is a taxi driver long term then I believe it is their choice. I have fully accepted that the reason I am moving to Canada is not about work but because I like Canada. I dont expect it to be easy. However, I intend to get Canadian skills and qualifications. Whatever it takes.

Canada is really nice, however, most of the immigrants are unable to find jobs in their professional field. Most of the immigrants who have high educational backgrounds or professionals work in minimum jobs such as taxi drivers, janitors and factory workers because they are denied of their qualifications.
