Five-day whitewater packrafting down the Franklin River in the Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park, Tasmania, Australia. Rapids include Corruscades, Thunderush, the Cauldon and Newland Cascades. Paddlers include photographer Bill Hatcher, C. Roman and Roman Dial.

  • @norwaynever Thanks. Yes, we scouted Newland Cascades and one of the Corruscade Rapids, then removed the packs and ran them w/out.

  • Question: after the water rose 1.5 meters and shows you paddling with no packs....did you run it without your packs and go back upriver to walk the packs down?

    Great video, makes it actually look possible for mortals. Can't understand why anyone would want to go in a big 16-footer
