I encourage my "new christian" friends to read romans. romans is a good place to begin indoctrination, isn't it? origin of sin, faith, righteousness, law, israel... it's got everything covered. But I was a little surprised with what one of them concluded.

  • I didn't understand the comment "It almost sounds like a mormon conversion doesn"t it'.I don't know what you mean by that.

  • mormon testimonies about one's conversion is usually accompanied with the experience of a "warming" of their heart, or a "burning" in their bosom. in other words, there is a tangible physical and emotional experience attached to one's revelation.

  • You say that Christianity accepts astroglogy because of the Magi ? How long have you been a Christian? this same comments of equating the Incarnation with the Hindu-inspired Reincarnation of current Judaism is rediculous to say the least .. try comin up with something better.

  • a) i didn't say that.

    b) I was a practicing evangelical until the age of 33.

    c) you started with a "ridiculous" comment

    d) perhaps you should have started with something better than to cast disparaging comments and then complain when I do the same.

if you want a "respectful" intelligent conversation, you should "do unto others"

  • It is painful to see a Christian leaving scriptures and falling into Judaism, the religion of astrology and reincarnation.

  • "leaving scriptures"? it is christianity that left scripture. as to your comment on astrology and reincarnation... wasn't it your magi-c guys following "his star in the east" that you celebrate every winter solstice and the doctrine of the "incarnation" that G-d "became" man?? hmm... that's even funny.

  • @hrvo6 . our Christian religion is rooted in the Bible, not in Judaism. I think you should differentiate between Rabinic Judaism and the Old testament religion of Moses and the Prophets. Reincarnation is an essential part of orthodox Judaism. It surprises you because you are conditioned to think Judaism = Old testament. Please ntoe that modern days Orhtodox Judaism is very similar to Hinduism

  • judaism is a religion of reincarnation and astrology? come on man! Our christian faith is rooted in judaism. jesus was an observant jew a rabbi. bottom line- NO JUDAISM- NO CHRISTIANITY!

  • You seem to find miniscule "twig-like" faults with Christianity and then you can swallow a whole truckload of logs when it comes to Judaism. Do you really think that it is biblical that a man can be reincarnated ... lets say as a horse?

  • Prescott. Judaism IS the religion of Astrology and Reincarnation. Why should this offend you? is this a disparaging comment? Jews FULLY accept astrology (Kaballah) and fully accept reincarnation. Jews like Hindus even believe that humans can be reincarnated as animals.
