Bizerka : Geamparalele din Bîrla and Rachenitsa

Bizerka play a traditional Romanian dance tune called Geamparalele din Bîrla and an original piece inspired by the Greek/Bulgarian dance Rachenitsa which was composed by their accordionist.

Recorded at Yackandandah Festival March 2008, Melbourne's crazy gypsy dance music band.

"Traditionalists" is not generally a word you'd associate with Bizerka - they don't believe that you have to imitate the exact style of the original music - as long as it's true to the feeling and doesn't do it an injustice, then all is
