  • What happened to the rest of the song?

  • it doesn't...I was just replying to your question regarding it. However, the phrases do need to go somewhere, which was the purpose of the motions she used. (she is teaching tired college students) Regarding her "tension," I'm not a doctor, nor will I pretend to be. Again, I recommend the other videos of us to get the "full picture." This was just one rehearsal. But overall, you are more than welcome to express your opinion and passion for music/way to make it! ;)

  • Since when does Shenandoah need intensity? I suppose it's the arrangement. You can see in her back that there is a lot of tension. Her shoulders are a bit high, and her arms go out a bit too far. What I meant in my original comment is that she looks like she is overdoing it. Did she know she was being taped, maybe for her doc? I've always felt that the best conductors have expression not from behind, but with their communication to the ensemble. If you see it from the back, it's too much.

  • "intensity" comes from "intense" movements.... these movements swell and are educational in nature. Also, mind you this is a rehearsal. Check out the other videos of the ensemble to get a complete picture.

  • Really? I think she might actually take off! Where do people get the idea that big means great? Where do you go from here? If she needs more intensity, she'll need a box to stand on and a set of wings. Then she might fly!

  • absolutely beautyfull!!!

  • I love her style of conducting She really gets into it. She is a prime example of someone who has a passion for music and I really like that in a person.

  • i just sang this last week on monday in a'cappella

  • Mrs. Stewart (director).... It's a rehearsal so she's giving her comments as we go.

  • who keeps talking
