The Trachtenburg Family Slideshow Players can make a song about anything. Anything?! Anything! Like this time when they were faced with the dilemma of creating a song based a collection of 1970's Rhodesian "Red Scare" Propaganda Slides. (add wavy lines and dreamy music here.)

The former British colony of (Southern) Rhodesia was originally a white minority ruled Southern African country until a long fought Chimurenge ("rebellion" in Zimbabwes native language, Shona.) with the ZANU (Zimbabwe African National Union) in April 1980 Rhodesia became The Republic of Zimbabwe.

  • he looks like a David Cross character. maybe its david cross playing a joke on everyone. I hope so.

  • I did notice they had the same vocal flow.

  • Not to be confused with Coffee Mate!

  • Pure perfection!!! Thanks... I keep listening over and over @ work and then I'm singing it at the copier and getting strange looks.

  • Lol! Same with me! I think it's the clapping at the end that gets on my students nerves! Luckily Summer is here!

  • I want three minutes of my life back

  • Tina Pina and Jason met in NYC I guess the band concept started in Seattle but they reside mostly in New York so let there be no East Coast/ West Coast static over it! Guns down!

  • Very interesting video though needless to say the strangeness of the message doesn't make it profound, but rather... just stupid.

  • or papermate

  • I love these guys & I love this song,

They were great last year at The Troubadour in Hollywierd

  • wtf

  • They always look really, really bored.

  • I think it's kind of low how this guy uses his daughter as a gimmick to promote his music and his political platform... it's the only thing that makes him unique from every other east coast acoustic radicals.

Don't get me wrong, "Mountain Trip" has been stuck in my head on and off for years.

  • i would have killed my daddy if he had done me do that.
