@strangeones4 - I grew up with Letterman during the early-mid 80's. He was my first generation SNL. David Letterman pre-CBS was brilliant!!
100% correct, 1980's Letterman was brilliant, his present show is a shadow of its former self. The Pre CBS show in the 12:30 slot was edgy, it had more of a colledge feel, less PC and scripted. For years, quite a few celebrities would not go on his show, because not much was off limits and Dave had a sharp tongue.
