Sweet Cornbread Recipe - How to Make Cornbread Super Moist in a Pressure Cooker

This is a northern style sweet cornbread recipe cooked in a pressure cooker for super moist restaurant like deliciousness. Northern style recipe with Southern style music by Kevin MacLeod. :~D

You don't really save much time using a pressure cooker, but this cornbread is the most moist I have ever had at home.

Using a pressure cooker to bake requires using a Pan in Pot (PIP) method. First you mix the batter, then you cover it, and place it inside the pressure cooker with a little bit of water. The steam and heat from the cooker bakes the cornbread in the internal pan.

Even cooking under pressure, the cornbread rises. It comes out dense, sweet, and extremely moist.

Make sure you allow the bread to cool 5 minutes after you take the pan out to ensure it is fully set.

  • @cabernetqueen Thanks, We like a sweet cornbread too but then again it's been a while since we had true Southern style cornbread, Bacon drippings, pan frying, maybe even some creamed corn kernels. The cast iron is calling to me as I write this. :~D
