  • the idea with the first two is that an attacker has a pre-conceived idea of where to lock his muscles.

So instead of fighting against him, we push our hands first in one direction, and when he puts up that fight we quickly move our hands in the direction we actually want to go in. (the other way)

his muscles are pushing where we want already, so he actually helps us put his arms in a way that makes breaking his grip easy.

it may not look like much, but once you understand the concept, it works

  • I could see the last one working but for the other two..........I will have to try them.

You can have fun taking up knitting. I take self defense very seriously.

You can learn coordination while practising stuff that actually works. If those grabs sole purpose is to achieve a belt, you might as well just purchase one as it would carry the same value.

  • well

    1. u need these grabs to get your yellow belt i guess

    2. u do not always learn things for using them later on.. like some math stuff or music theory

    3. u learn how to coordinate your body...

    4. thats it =) just have fun u know?

Why teach or learn something that isn't effective?

In my view, though some techniques might require a higher level of understanding, there is no such thing as a technique for beginners.

  • @Micahel213 this is not the aim -.- + these are white belts grabs... not the most effective

  • this is a master? how long have you been practicing?

  • You don't really think this will work in a real situation. Do you?

  • is this a recognised WTF steps
