The show is about the making of the movie Malegaon ka Superman. Its a fascinating story of a motley crew of Malegaons for whom their filmmaking is a labor of love and not an enterprise in commercial interests. Juxtaposing the frenzied production activities against a stark socio-economic backdrop of Malegaon, the documentary reveals the cathartic and spellbinding importance of the magic of movies on the people. Ironically, all this is not a sustained effort to rise above their exploitative milieu but merely a temporary escape into the fantastical world of films.

last night i saw the makeing of this movie, it was so creative. The producer, film director, cameraman, editor, and the make up guy is actualy one guy. he's a fabric seller.
He have a empt room behind his store, it was kind a little cinema, now he use it as the Film production houses.
he never learn how to make a film, he just love to watch so much films in the little cinema when he was a kid.

i just saw this film as part of the San Francisco International South Asian Film Festival. It was wonderful, touching and hilarious. I highly recommend it.
