Ken Griffey Jr, of the Cincinnati Reds, singles on a ground ball to center fielder Ichrio Suzuki during the first inning of the 2007 All-Star Game. The run scoring single scored Jose Reyes from second base. It was hit off American League starter Danny Haren of the Oakland Athletics.

  • The thing is too that he's getting close to 40 and still looks young and fit - even with all his injuries, that's a real tribute to the fact that he just wants to play baseball.

    And the swing is still like it was during his prime, too.

  • I don't know guys, it's so hard watching him these days. All the memories come back to me like they happened yesterday. Griffey is in my mind the greatest player to ever play the game. I feel so fortunate to have seeing him and experienced baseball while he was in his prime. When Griffey leaves the game I really don't see myself caring much about what takes place after that.

  • The Sweetest Swing Ever, quite possibly the greatest ever, just those injuries. Some are a testament to how he plays so hard though.
