I believe these are the same mountains, or at the least the same Mountain region. The opening scene of M*A*S*H* was filmed at the Malibu State Park in California. The mountains there are the same mountains used in the opening shots of Mash. If your campus is near Malibu State Park, then they are probably the same mountains.

woofiegrrl, The mountain scene is Saddleback Mountain located near the Saddleback College campus where I work. But your right, it does look like the opening scene of M*A*S*H! I never thought about that. Thanks for stopping by!
