This kinetic sculpture, powered by a half-wave Tesla coil, produces a spectacular 48 inch spark. It is powered by a 10KVA utility distribution transformer and a 2HP industrial blower. The system contains almost 6 miles of 23AWG wire, 660 feet of 1/4 inch copper tubing, and 1000 feet of 6AWG wire. All of the fixtures are made from 3/4 inch oak plywood with 1/4 inch oak banding, and have a beautiful hand-rubbed finish.

  • I will forward your request to the jolly fat man.

  • The coils in the background are impedance matching networks.

  • We do not believe that it is RF that corrupts the image. It is likely that the image processing is not fast enough.

  • I cannot read German. If the question was about electrodes, they are tungsten.

  • If you put your hand in the middle, it would most likely kill you.

  • wie viel abstand ist zwichen den elektroden ?

  • sweet!!!!

Generated RF screws up the video quality. Suggestion, put camera in a metal cage.

  • cool!

  • woah man very very nice! for some reason, it looks like in the video that the two primary's on the two coils you have there in the background are connected?? is this true???

  • I know what I want for Christmas.
