The Edgar is very, very talented. He plays the frig out of this role; he plays as a convincingly primitive "animal", to a timid, still learning man, to a raged man. And the rest of the cast is fantastic, too. Wonderful, wonderful job.

Just a shade disturbing having Dr. Parker make out with Ruthie as she dies lol

Maybe I saw a different video, but Edgar did not have a beret in the Off-Broadway cast. My only criticism is Shelley tried too hard to be Kerry Butler as Shelley instead of being Shelley. The hair didn't help, since that's how Kerry's was Off-Broadway. Other than that, excellent.

I was lucky enough to be in this cast! Fantastic show and amazing experience. Edgar is wearing white-out (black light) contacts... He played Rick in the original off-broadway production and we were so lucky to have him. Thank you all for the kind and supportive words.

why is the doctor kissing ruthie full on the lips? that's a little weird..... nice bunny prop, the guts ripping out was wonderfully visual. great lighting, too!
is bat boy wearing white contacts or is it just the camera angle?

It's a beret. Was done the same in the Off-B'way production. As Meredith works to domesticate the Bat Boy, she works to create a "proper young man" the likes of which Hope Falls doesn't much see. In doing so, she reaches for (her image of) a European flair (as she sees that to be the height of class), thus having him learn to speak from listening to BBC language tapes, enjoying tea time, and a French beret...
