  • Very clean graphics for 1986; they haven't dated that much at all.

  • Why did the BBC Ditch these titles? These were great for the one o'clock news! I hate the current opening at one, six and ten! Jungle drums and pips - please BBC do something about your intro to the news!!

  • Wow I can't believe this started over 25 YEARS ago that is along time I remember when Martyn Lewis broadcasted the first ever BBC One O' Clock News on Monday 27th October 1986 that was over 25 YEARS ago along time since the first BBC One O' Clock News bulletin was first shown on the BBC I remember Martyn Lewis doing the BBC One O' Clock News during this Era but I love the intro though at 0:00 it brings back so many great memories I love the BBC One O' Clock News music during that era its brill

  • Does anybody know where I can get the full music for this?

  • roy west

  • @DrxSlump And it was made in 1986, so it is far ahead for its time.

  • Yes, and of course they could use it even now!

  • I think they could have used the titles well into the late 1990's, they haven't aged half as much as the old Six O'Clock News titles (late 80's ones). BBC Breakfast News titles from 1989 were impressive as well.

  • Wow, even in this age I have no idea how they could do that! Great leader!

  • Impressive as well... it's hard to believe that these are computer graphics.
