@flomurdock Surprising you say that Flo, as much as you know about the circuit seems like you would remember that Liz was also nominated for New Female Vocal of the year for the Academy of Country Music, has had a couple of her songs on billboards charts, and also been on some of Nashvilles prestigious tv shows at the time. Tina is a great talent in her own right, But give credit where credit is due, Liz also had something that the producers saw that they liked.

In response to Poochkepoo.Realy?Have ya seen the video of her in her prime shes like 5.9 gorgeous brunette with a stunning figure and voice.She won all her awards because of her talent period.Sounds like a jealous wife of one of lizs ex boyfriends to me Juvenile and liz speaks so highly of l local talent known her my whole life.

@poochkepoo Interesting you would say that. Tina & Liz in the same sentence is blasphemy. Tina is a stunning talent, Liz is an also-ran. She never quite had it. She is what they often call a journeyman, but not even that. She isn't that pretty, doesn't have a great figure, & her voice is only average. For some reason John put a lot of time and energy into her, bypassing people like Jodee Messina and Cheryl Wheeler who became successful. What Liz had was a domineering stage mother!

I remember her when she used to play the tiny little places all over New England like Allen's Fifth Wheel. She was good then, and she's good now.

Back in the day and not too long ago.........LIz and Tina Welch's chops ruled and were voices and performers to contend with...........they still got it and glad to see them again on youtube.
