i have the nearly the same setup, ocz vertex le. 2x50 Gb in raid 0 config, but its transfer rates changin from 140MB/sec to 300 MB/sec. Why the difference?
I used the same test software, hd tune 2.55.

Why In HD Tune it Raid Volume 130 GB if there are two disks 60GB?
60+60= 120 xD

I think SSD is too pricey, only really worth it for laptops, i get 420MB/s with 4xSamsung 500GB Drives in Raid 0

@kolofagos redundant array of independent disks
raid 0- 2 discs, data is written to half of each drive, so u get "double" the speed, combined space of 2 drives
raid1 - 2 discs, data is written to both the discs, slower speed, disc size of smallest drive

what cpu u got? and whats the cpu usage when it running at 400MB/s?
cos i know the onboard raid consume cpu resources and i am thinking should i get a raid controller to avoid that
