Why are you guys (MSPH) arguing with someone who feels like their opinion is important? Are they on your video? So you are on their mind! They may say they are just upset about your style but what they are really saying is... Damn I wish I can move like that. People discredit what they can't do or don't understand. If I may comment, I march with this band & to Jahazielaka: what we do is for pure entertainment..emphasis on ENTERTAINMENT. As buchosf said, it is meant to keep the crowds attention. And I've read the comments between you guys & by no means did I see it get turned racial. I know a dancer who's white & comes from a high stepping band.& my best friend(black) is captain of the colorguard in a corp-style band. Band isn't a racial thing;there are just different styles. No one said you had to like it.

wow. your the first person to deal with me rationally. And for that i apologize, yes i have been ignorant. But i did notice that the DM conduct. They just dance more than they conduct. Why would you let like half of your show go unconducted sounding off, then conducting like the last 20sec of it, yet still sounding kind of off....well anyways, i really had no reason to be talking down on this band..i was just pissed off because a few ppl that do this style were irritating about this same subject

not only does this style require for the DM's to dance (as i see you've failed to notice) but they also conduct, simply put, your opinion is biased and you just made yourself look ignorant on comenting this, i march for this band, but i am not biased, i will say we sounded bad this day. and yes corp style bands are goood, but not all show style bands sound like this, and this is one night, anyother time would've different, BCC, Norfolk, perfect examples of why you sound ignorant...

see now thats where your biased oppinoin clouds your judgement, of course anyone who likes corp style bands would side with that, i will admit that they are more technical on certain aspects but all in all not EVERYONE wants to sit through a show like that. often it dosent catch anyones attention, now traditional bands as is the correct term for this style of band is to catch your eye, play what the crowd likesand be clean while doing so.

Now your getting racial. This style of marching, people usually call "black bands" because of course most of your drill is hip-hop influenced crap. My style are "core bands" something real, like usually something ul see at a DCI competition, where true bands perform, and something you would probably think is boring because it doesnt have the "jerk" in it. As i was saying, a black band doesnt mean a band composed of african americans. Im sure theres some white ppl or hispanics in westover..
