Michael Allegretti's Third Advertisement:
Allegretti "Allegretti for Congress" NY-13 Congress. "We Like Mike" Voice Over: "Politicians and insiders broke the place. A conservative like Michael Allegretti can fix it." Man 1: "He's one of us.[1]" Woman 1: "Grimm? He just moved here.[2] And he faked his resume.[3]" Man 2: "We need someone who gets it. Michael Allegretti knows how to create jobs here on Staten Island." Man 3: "He knows how to create jobs in our community." Man 4: "He's a paisan. He's one of us." Woman 2: "Allegretti knows how to get things done." Voice Over: "Grassroots Republicans, tea party activists, taxpayers all say Allegretti's our choice." Michael Allegretti: "I'm Michael Allegretti and I approved this message." Footnotes for TV ad 1. Michael Allegretti is a lifelong resident of the 13th District, paying his taxes here, holding a drivers license here, and voting here: He was born and raised on the Brooklyn side of the district where he attended elementary and high school, and voted in every single primary and general election there since he was eligible at 18 years old. He's held a drivers license and voter registration for three addresses at which he's resided in the district for his entire life. Allegretti currently lives in Rosebank on Staten Island. 2. Michael Grimm was born in Queens, outside of the 13th Congressional district. He registered with the Board of Elections that he lived at 84-43 120th Street, Key Gardens, NY 11415 from 1998 -- 2004 (At the time was receiving mail at 17 Gallagher Road, Morristown, NJ 07960), according to the New York City Board of Elections, signed 10/09/1998. Grimm changed his registration to 50 Borman Ave, SI, NY 10314 on 1/2/2004 according to the New York City Board of Elections. 3. Regarding his resume, Grimm states in numerous interviews and campaign literature that he was a successful small businessman who "created jobs and successfully navigated the economy." This is false. As the Daily News states, Grimm "has no job, and his debts exceed his bank balances." (Daily News, 7/7/10, http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/dc/2010/07/how-does-this-man-afford-nyc.html...) One example was his restaurant "Healthalicious" on the Upper East Side of Manhattan at E. 83rd Street and 2nd Avenue. Grimm's financial disclosure form filed with US House of Representatives shows that after multiple health violations he sold "Healthalicious" in 2009 (just three years of being in business) for the small sum of "between $50,001 and $100,000." (Daily News, 7/7/10, http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/dc/2010/07/how-does-this-man-afford-nyc.html) The company was "short-lived" according to the Staten Island Advance, 10/26/09. For the Austin, Texas-based companies with which Michael Grimm is involved, these too are not successful. John Cuchia, owner of the property where San Antonio Refuel (Mr. Grimm's stated company) was a tenant, said that San Antonio Refuel vacated the building approximately 8 or 9 months ago, broke its lease and went bankrupt. Cuchia stated that he "would not do business with them" in the future. For KLG Developments LLC, another Texas business in which Michael Grimm is listed as Manager, the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts lists it as "not in good standing".
