New Equipment on the way folks! We've been looking forward to getting a plasma for a while now. Should be a great machine: Torchmate Growth Series 4x4 with AVHC, water bed, Hypertherm 65 Plasma cutter. I'm doing to pair it with a very high quality air compressor and an air dryer in hopes of maximizing cut quality

Also ordered a Polar Air 80 Gallon, 2 stage air compressor with the Harbor Freight Air Dryer to keep the air nice and dry to preserve plasma consumables and cut integrity

  • Congratulations! We are looking forward to seeing more videos as you begin working with your Torchmate. Don't hesitate to call us for support during setup and thereafter! Good luck!

  • @torchmatedotcom You got it!

  • Business must be good. If it is it is a testament to the dedication and competence you bring to the product. I really miss updates from you. I would really like to see some vids about you making things. We are out here waiting for updates and hope you are doing well. To get parts made where do we contact you? When I go to your website nyccnc.com I get redirected to Youtube (in firefox and iexplorer.)

  • @crashes3221 Thanks! We have started taking down nyccnc.com when we are too backlogged to take on new work...

  • First! ha!

  • @gregoryscottsr No need for the 4th axis - at least now

  • Are you equiping with a 4th axes?

  • @alexanderkm11 I wish I could move the Tormach into the basement, but it's not possible. My basement is next to my garage - only about an 8" height difference - but the issue is 1) the door between the garage and the basement is 25" wide and would require substantial dissassembly, 2) my basement ceiling height would cut off ~1" of z-axis and 3) I'm made the decision to move all "chip making" pcs into the garage (drill, mill, etc) as the basement is now being used for clean-work and office space

  • I think it's worth investing the time and effort moving the Tormach into the basement. Not only will this divide the welding equipment, sanders and grinds, for cleanliness of the machine tools, but it will allow you to have better ventilation and convenience with them centralized. If I can get a 1440 lathe and equally large mill in the basement down a staircase, then you can get it through a door way.
