POSTECH 24th anniversary ceremony(2010.12.02)

Nov. 3 marked the 24th anniversary of POSTECH foundation. A day ahead, on Nov. 2, a ceremony celebrating the start of our university was held in the POSCO International Center. This event was to commemorate POSTECH's remarkable achievement in the World Rankings conducted by The Times Higher Education, to reflect our steps taken and to applaud members of the school community. The ceremony was held in both Korean and English, with the President's opening speech and major presentations done in English primarily.
President Baik added in his opening speech, "Currently, we are re-inventing POSTECH as a premier global educational institute which can provide the most courageous young students talented particularly in math and science with fundamentals, skills, and creativity required to become global leaders in the 21st century." He also commented on the faculty and staffs, "I would like to thank and praise everyone here for your hard work and dedication."

An award ceremony was also conducted, rewarding members appreciation plaques, meritorious service plaques and plaques for faculty for 10 or 20 consecutive years of service to the school.
