Just a fun little project I thought I'd have a go at to fuse a Nintendo Entertainment System with a GameCube. Inspired mainly by lukemorse1's videos on monster mods below, check them out...

If you have any suggestions or ideas for this mod then feel free to post a comment or drop me a message. I'll be doing this over a few weeks and posting updates as I go.

I plan on painting the NES shell since it's horribly yellowed so I'm open to suggestions on colour choices. I originally thought black but maybe it should be purple to match the original GameCube?. I also need some ideas for decals etc. But yeah, give me your feedback.

Thanks for watching!

  • Instead of messing up that old nes, why don't you restore it and give away or sell it. The nes like the one you have is getting to hard to find because of people cutting them up and making stupid things out of them. I am looking for that model but cannot find one.

  • @rippedwarrior69 I found that NES in a skip! Someone had thrown it away as junk. And, most of my videos involve me restoring, saving and repairing rare/vintage game consoles!

Nintendo sold over 61 million NES consoles. They aren't rare! Ebay is full of people selling them.

  • A retro GameCube, looking forward to the second part of this one mate.

  • @alexgameroom Thanks, hopefully it doesn't turn out looking like a big lump of crap, lol. Next update sometime later this week. I've already gutted the NES.

  • Are you planning on making it both a functioning NES and Gamecube in 1 unit?

  • @dommiesan I thought about that but from what I can see there's not enough room inside the NES case for the both of them. I'd have to totally rethink the NES cartridge system. It might be possible using a top loading slot type system but probably waaay more work and I'm too lazy for that :).

  • "Maybe, paint it black?" Yeah, really keeping it looking factory-made, aren'tcha?
