The Four Corners is an industrial energy zone at the expense of people's health. How can another major pollution source like this be allowed when the Four Corners is already burdened with two of the most polluting power plants in the country?

  • What the author fails to mention when talking about the pollution that will be produced is the technologies that will prove the amounts stated in the video to be wrong.

Like, for instance, PNM built a baghouse filter system that replaced the precipitators. The baghouse filters remove a LOT more fly ash, and along with that, removes almost all of the mercury. In fact, the amount of mercury in the exhaust is so low that the instrumentation they installed can barely measure it.

  • Coal power is obsolete.
