U.S.S. New Hampshire: Ship of the Granite State

The U.S.S. New Hampshire (NCC-84702) was a refitted Nova-class science vessel assigned to Bravo Fleet's Task Force 17. TF17 is the first Starfleet force to explore another galaxy via an Iconian super gateway linking the Milky Way to Galaxy M90, a distance of sixty million light years. The discoverers of the gateway established Project IGOR (Inter-Galactic Operations and Relations) to explore M90. Ten years after the Dominion War, Starfleet may at last be returning to its old days of peaceful exploration. But there are new dangers in a galaxy far from home...

Update as of May 2010: The New Hampshire was destroyed six months after its launching at the Battle of Kelenek'che'sa, the first engagement of the Divine War. (Its captain - me, of course - has since left Bravo Fleet for better things, and I will not go into the reasons for that at this time.)

Oh, and a note I forgot to add in the credits (ran out of room): The "gateway effect' you see later on is in fact traversing the Bajoran wormhole, as part of the DS9FX mod that came with Kobayashi Maru 1.0. Credit to those teams for having a handy "gateway".
