Keep it running AFTER the arc reaches the other electrode you ideot! That's when the COOL part happens! Then a surge of current flows DIRECLY from one electrode through an arc in the chared (carbon is conductive) plastic to the other electrode. This causes large current, and sets any unchared plastic on fire from the heat of the excess current flow after that! NOBODY has put that on youtube yet. They all chicken out when the arc hits the other electrode!

No, all this will do is burn the expensive teflon sheet below the CD. And smell even worse as it already does.
