A Good Man follows the Tony Award winning choreographer Bill T. Jones in his attempt to tell the story of Abraham Lincoln through dance, commissioned for the Ravinia Festival. The resulting work, "Fondly Do We Hope Fervently Do We Pray", was performed in September of 2009 at the Festival as part of its "Mystic Chords of Memory" program in honor of Abraham Lincoln's bicentennial. A GOOD MAN will broadcast on PBS' American Masters series in 2011.

Bill T. seems bored with his students regarding Lincoln. We as teachers have a long way to go.

Awesomeness. I would love to see the actual dance (and the film, of course). Way-to-go Kartemquin.
