  • sorry, but i cant see who call hisself WMG and teach Tabla with that crap technique...in anyway all your video are about theka, learn theka is NOT learn TAAL.

there are more than 300 used theka, wanna put all in youtube just for show what you dont know...?! are there not many disinformations in inthernet without that? ....bah

  • @71Fabrizio you have some anger issues it seems..you also misstated many things here. First, WMG is just my channel and website, not what I call myself. Second, I am not teaching "tabla" or "technique," I am demonstrating concepts of taal and theka which any average listener of ICM should know. Third, every video starts with an explanation of each taal's structure, followed by the standard theka.

It doesn't matter how many taals and thekas there are, these are the most common ones (over 90%).

  • This is extremely informative and clear. It does a very good job of providing a framework of understandiong for ICM. As a westerner, the 2+2+3+3 rhythmic structure is something new, and for novices like myself, can be somewhat baffling when encountered in a piece of music. When trying to gain an appreciation of any type of music, understanding and recognition of time signature, pitch (or key), and tempo are crucial. Great job opening these doors of perception and appreciation in under ten mins.

  • Very clear

  • @WMG Thank you .

  • Thank you for this, WMG is an awesome website!
