On February 25, 2011 Death came to the West Coast for the first time and played to a sold out crowd. In support of Death Zolar X opened for them. The classic 70's songs by Zolar X as well as the new ones like Slab Lab were in the 45 minute set.
"Musically, this song is like a 5-alarm fire that can't be put out. The Slab Lab was a real place that existed in L.A. for a brief amount of time circa late '70's. Experience the decay of life when the quest to get high was the Slab Labs's most important event of the day. A drab dark memory where most who visited or stayed at the Slab are now gone from Earth. A desire to shed light on the lifestyle of what it was like, Slab Lab's melody was revamped in 2009 from a Rock Bottom and the Spys song-never recorded." "It reminds me - never to forget." -- Ygarr Ygarrist of ZOLAR X
