Sound´s super cool and like 1000cc bike.
How should I do to build a quiet engine like that for my bug? I´m askng becouse normally air coolled engine sounds like an machine gun.

I just built a 1776 for my baja and was thinking about slapping a turbo on it how much did this set up cost?

So basically instead the carb works on vacum from the turbo when its on boost, and puts enough fuel through for the engines needs, also eliminates the need for a dump or blow off valve as the throttle plate is before the turbo inlet.

Reason for carb before turbo is because most carbs are tuned to work with the vacum of an engine pulling air through the venturi where it speeds up and draws fuel out of the jet. Forcing pressurised air through a carb will usually result in too little fuel being added and the engine running too lean. Certain carbs are designed for presurised air e.g. renault5 turbo, and it is possible to set some up to work this way but not easy.

awesome! I love the boxer engine, I have a Vw beetle 79 1500cc here in brazil and I'm thinking in instal a turbocharger, but why you installed the carb before the turbocharger?
