Tiptronic has an automatic mode? Can you do a downshift with the paddles without knocking it out of automatic mode or do you have to select back to automatic?

Its just something about Porsche that seperats it from just being any car compared to its competition. A nice rarely seen on the streets, well cut, quick car. Unfortunatley insurance is sky high on one of those 911s, Boxsters, Caymans, etc.
