On this date in 1960 {Feb. 1st} "Sixteen Reasons" entered the Billboard's Hot Top 100; eventually it would peaked at No. 3 and spent a total of 24 weeks in the Top 100. During the time this record was on the charts Ms. Stevens was playing Cricket Blake on the ABC network private eye TV series "77 Sunset Strip"!!!

Connie was a very (very) bright young lady with very big (very big) ambitions whose enthusiasm, friendliness and squeaky clean persona got her very far in show business very fast. As a singer she had a small instrument but knew just how to use it and when it came to her albums she was an active participant in the themes and material. She knew how to package herself and she knew her audience. She was strictly professional, on time, prepared, cooperative and a pleasure to work with.
