1) It's called being prepared. Does it matter if you use it or not? Do you want to be weak and builled by your neighbors?
2) Jobs, it will keep unemployment low.
3) It teaches them how to properly use firearms and training techniques, so that the majority are not IGNORANT about guns.
4) An armed society is a polite society.
5) Teaches them the duty to serve their country. Not being a dumb liberal who begs for more social programs as if it's the country's job to take care of them.

wow this asian girl at the end of the video is absolutely beautiful !
Make love not War !

This is just my humble opinion,
I think it is better to need it and have it than need it and “not” have it. But this is up to the Swiss people and Swiss government.
-
You bet. "If the individual has a right to govern himself, all external government is tyranny. Hence the necessity of abolishing the State."
Would you try to kill me if the government didn't prohibit you?
-
@SSTTEEAALLTTHH Then You are an anarchist! Wich isn't bad! But if I come down to your house and kill your wife and kids! Don't even try to cry for help! You'll need big balls and be a man !

The idea of liberty or freedom is incompatible with a government, especially if they draft people into military service (killing and being killed for the government). Saying a draft keeps you free is like saying fucking keeps your virginity.
-
@SSTTEEAALLTTHH I totaly desagree with You! I'm pretty sure that Today, You fully enjoy your freedom! But, what are You ready to do to defend your own Freedom (for wich You have probably done nothing up to now!) ?. Are You ready to fight? to defend your family and your friends?
Switzerland is a small country, but it survived amonst the Great European Empires because our people we ready to give their lives to protect their family and friends!
You decide what You wanna do!
-
@SSTTEEAALLTTHH Actually, when You join the swiss army, You must be prepared to loose your life, even if we are not at War! It is written so in the RS (regulation service). This is what it takes to defend the Freedom and Democracy of a small Country!

This guy in the video clearly shows he doesn't want to shoot a gun, but he was forced to learn it by his government. And you claim the gun makes him free? Haha, laughable. Nothing your government FORCES you to do creates freedom.
BTW, I support private gun ownership.
And how do You believe that Switzerland survived for more than 700 years right in the middle of the so called "Great European Empires"???
In 1942 Hitler gave up the idea to invade Switzerland because it would have cost him too many batalions! Without being sure to succeed!
We never had any Kings, nor Queens because we are a true Democracy! The Power belongs to the peolple!
