Deltef Schrempf, a former small forward for the Dallas Mavericks (NBA) National Basketball Association team, and NBA All-Star elaborates on the Adidas 6 shot circuit training exercise for athletes. So here we go, everybody on the base line, two hook shots, and two drop steps. So we come around the cone quick, so come here, running a hook right hand then left hand. Come around, left hand then I?m coming around, figure eight. Coming drop step, gonna be a low pass, drop step then wait left hand then right hand. Last two, jump shots coming around the cone, you wanna come here turn around then jump shot. Okay got it? Six shots- two hooks, two drop steps and two jump shots. Well we?re just, lots of repetitions you wanna get it with the opposed player, now it gets everybody to dunk so in a game you?re not gonna dunk a whole lot so wanna work it right all the shots in the basket and its repetitions. Cone drills, everybody has cone drills this one in particular has twelve shots, four hook shots then come around, figure of eight around the cone to do hook shots, to do jump hooks. Then you do basically a power move, a seal or the drop step, then some jump shot. The variation?s on the middle cone where you shoot the jump shot, show and go. You rip through. Those are just things you should do every day; build the patience on how to scroll around the basket in different variations to it. Well as always it?s the focus and the footwork balance, so you get a little tired get tensive and you come off that screen and shoot the ball off balance. You feel the onset; you don?t have the 1-2 kind of where you get yourself in the right position where you shoot the ball straight, you float a little bit. The post players are doing a great job today, they work pretty hard but it?s the quickness. Everybody?s in a hurry, in the post you don?t need to be in a hurry unless you get double toothed, you get rid of it otherwise you don?t need to be in a hurry because you have a strong position with the ball. There is no need to make a quick move when you travel, so that?s the key with young kids. They?re a little anxious with the ball, especially the big guys.
