This is an example of how a jazz guitarist can take the chords of a simple song and reharmonize using chord substitutions to make the song more like jazz harmonically. This video can be a great learning tool for any student of jazz. It's important for jazz students to learn that the chords on the published sheet musc are not the only way a song can be harmonized. This opens the door to many more creative possiblities and a means to a more personal musical expression when interpeting standard songs.
