Marshall Class 5 with camcorder mic

http://www.dolphinstreet.com - using my camcorder microphone instead of putting a studio microphone in front of the speaker. Check my other "identical" video where I used a Shure SM57 microphone. Which sounds better?

Hi Robert, you asked which sounded better, the SM57 or Camcorder... I think the mic on your cam is very good quality, no noticeable clipping or thinness or other defects - in fact I would say that the SM57 and the cam sound very similar, the only difference is that the camcorder naturally picks up more of the room's dynamics being further away than the SM57 - if you added a touch of reverb to the SM57 then they would sound exactly the same. I prefer the wet sound, a bit easier & more interest..

@RockCityWear Im well aware that his demos are appriecated, but there are so much other demos. Yes, it can be explained and showed in different ways, but you hear the sound, if u like it, u buy it. But the guitar magic he teaches, cannot be found anywhere else.

@Oysy I'm sure Rob would be sorry to hear that his material caused guitarists to "expire". His gear demo vids are much appreciated. I'm sure he'll share a few more tips along the way too.

@RT101894 I just think its silly to assume that Fender are the only ones that can make a quality "Strat" shaped guitar because they first designed it. If you read Roberts website he played many real Fender Strats and was underwhelmed before coming across a deal on this second hand Suhr and was blown away. I believe there are many companies that can beat Fender at their own design and Suhr is one of them.

@RockCityWear nope. technically....it is a knock off, because its the same shape and all those specs of a fender except the headstock. so, its a copy strat.

@RT101894 go look at price list on suhrs website they are pretty high end guitars. and there are very few new fender or gibson guitars that are worth the money the qaulity has gone down in the last few years
