@strandwolf hey thanks man, ... beatin' ... I'll try to work it into my rap ...!

@macfunkey "You're beatin' on the 88s man" ?

I notice Johnny says ".... the 88" while Dr John was soloing - something like "rebating the 88"? The 88 refers to the number of keys on the piano, but not sure of the first word. I've heard other musicians use a similar phrase, but don't exactly know the jive. Can anyone help me out? Great music, shame it gets talked over and faded out!

@LivewireRemote Somebody gets copies of those shows and put them out as DVDs!!!!! I remember that series, it was fantastic.
This is from "IN SESSION", a Canadian tv series. This episode was shot on Nov 23, 1983. I'm the recording engineer at 0:59. We did 13 shows in '83, and 13 more in '87. The concept was that the viewer was eavesdropping on a recording session by two old friends. We did Stevie Ray Vaughan w/ Albert King, Larry Carlton w/ BB King, Glen Campbell w/ Leon Russell, Emmylou Harris w/ Rodney Crowell, etc. All live off the floor w/ Toronto session players. Yes, it was shot on Dec 1, 1983. Also Burton Cummings/Don Everly, Rik Emmett/Bruce Cockburn, Ronnie Hawkins/Beverly D'Angelo, Randy Goodram/Michael Johnson, Tom Schuyler/Dan Seals, Larry Gatlin/Mickey Newbury.
The Emmylou Harris/Rodney Crowell show also included Rosanne Cash and Albert Lee.
We did another 13 episodes four years later. I've always thought Rhino should release all 26 episodes on DVD, including the outtakes if they still exist. It was the least-structured tv show I've worked on
