Check on conditions inside and outside the Metropark Hotel, Wanchai, in Hong Kong on day four of the quarantine imposed on its guests since last week.

According to guests who spoke to us by phone, the food is still very average and information from authorities arrives in dribs and drabs. However, generally the mood is upbeat and at least the social scene is improving.

  • well i'm from hk~

it's gd that the guests r going to leave the hotel at today's 9:00 pm

that must be the most unforgettable trip for them ever

  • It's really true.. If Hk government did not take prompt action, the virus might have spread. Good job to HK government! Let's see what will happen after they are released from quarantine tomorrow..

  • insufficient food???lets throw in some sweet and sour pork, egg rolls, honey garblic ribbs, chow mein...etc and dont get the fortune cookies and they are gonna shut up

  • Dont book Metro Park hotel again, that is operated by China Travel Service, which also operated another hotel which confected with SARS, named as "metropolian hotel" but this hotel was changed to another name still operated by China Travel Service. I bet you they will change the name of Metro Park Hotel name again as they used to be.

  • I also feel that the government overreacted, as this strain of flu is very different from the SARS of 2003. Nevertheless, the HK government wanted to protect its 7 million citizens & I have to say they acted very efficient & effectively for something that happened so quickly. I wish the best for all the Metropark guests & a save journey home. I'll make sure next time I visit HK, I won't stay in a hotel! Cheers from Canada!

  • Hey, talk about the positive side man~

In fact, ppl in donated a lot of things~

On the other hand, since the action was taken, the H1N1 is now under control in both HK and Asia!

  • I find I'm lucky, 'cos I can still have nice meals at home or restaurant
