  • Movement "regulations" will not allow that today :( So we ALL pay more.

  • Let's not refuel! And emm forget safety checks and let the passengers starve!

  • Because you know, pre-flight checks, safety presentations and maintenance isn't important or anything...

  • They must also use the 10 minute turnaround for maintenance.

  • JetMechMA--How can you be so pitifully un-informed. I fly Luv jets and the maintenance is amazing. Halloween? Leaving defered maintenance items on a napkin? Like the FAA would allow that.. We work the jets hard...they dont make money sitting idle on the ramp. Boeing makes an incredible product that can withstand our tempo of ops. I bet you are (or were) employed at a carrier that was laced with inefficencies.

  • There is a video of Kelleher going absolutely INSANE when United started their Shuttle by United service using 737s. It was an employee meeting and Herb was turning red in the face and shouting at the employees and frothing at the mouth and getting wild eyed. He shouted at the employees, "THIS WILL AFFECT YOU ALL!!! You and you and you and you and YOU.....ALL OF YOU ! ! ! ! !!!!!!" We had it playing in a continuous loop in our break room for the longest time.

  • One way SWA does quick turns, in my opinion, I have heard from mechanics that they don't make proper maintenace log write-ups....they write the discrepency down on a napkin and leave it for the mechanic, who automatically defers it rather than fix it, sends it down the line. The deferal stickers are orange and they say that the cockpit of a Southwest jet looks like halloween because of all the orange deferal stickers. SWA jets break the speed limit on taxiways. They have the luck of the devil.

  • I LUV him

  • Now that I think of it, at the end the ad's almost a rip off of a print ad the original LCC (Pacific Southwest Airlines) did about leaving the CEO or Prez behind because he was late to a plane at t

  • @pjc858 but that's the difference... Delta has catering and people who REALLY clean the aircrafts, Southwest doesn't. I like Southwest, but they're able to do so much more because they do so much less.
