Introduction to The Loners. Loners #1 went on sale back in April, Loners #4 went on sale July 5th. It's a six issue miniseries that many of us hope will go on to have many more issues. Not having a scanner, I was limited to what I could find on the Internet, but I think I hit all the important points I wanted to.
The Loners (in the order they appear):
Julie Power - Lightspeed
Phil Urich - Green Goblin
Mickey Musashi - Turbo
Chris Powell - Darkhawk
Johnny Gallo - Ricochet
Mattie Franklin - Spider-Woman
Hollow - formerly known as Penance
I manage to include all the "loners" in this, though you'll see there's an obvious focus on some while ignoring others. It was just easier to tell the story I wanted to tell that way. The actual Loners miniseries issues includes a LOT more story content, so be sure to pick them up or get the trade paperback when it comes out! /end shameless plug. ;)
Larger version (40.2 MB, though a 20 MB version is available upon request) for download (or viewing) here, if you love The Loners as much as I do: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8346475869281570072&hl=en
Music Information (in the order they play):
Flyleaf - "I'm So Sick"
Sugarcult - "Destination Anywhere"
CAKE - "Short Skirt/Long Jacket"
Guano Apes - "Never Born"
a perfect circle - "Passive"
Nine Inch Nails (NIN) - "A Warm Place"
NIN - "I Do Not Want This"
I get to use some of my favorite songs in this vid, woo hoo! Hehe. I'm so lucky that I didn't have the Sugarcult song "Los Angeles" in the proper format! I never would have checked out "Destination Anywhere" then and feel I would have really missed out on a great theme for Los Angeles and The Loners. "Los Angeles" takes place in the daytime, anyhow.
Believe it or not, I had a HECK of a time finding a song for the ending! Of course, as any good writer knows, the most important part of any story is the ending. I almost gave up on finding a song with words for the end, faced with a huge stack of rock CDs. No matter what I went with, it felt just cheaply tacked on. In any case, I think it turned out well enough in the end, with what I chose. Maybe I wasn't looking in the right places, but it was hard to find the exact tone I wanted and, thus, a song that fit that tone. ;)

There's more than one version? I was pretty sure this version was the same version I'd heard on YouTube before deciding to get it myself, lol. I got it through eMule, look it up. :)

Well, that's interesting -- I never knew that. Hope vampirefreak found what he/she was looking for.

I think I found what the problem is. Apparently, a different version of I'm So Sick was on the Resident Evil Extinction soundtrack. That version is by Flyleaf vs. The Legion of Doom and is called "I'm So Sick (t-virus remix)" -- the version I have in my video is the original version.

The Loners deserves to be an on-going series. I'm enjoying it!

I agree, Blueeyes! Thanks for commenting. :) I think #5 is going to come out on the 12th, if you haven't heard already. Oh, and after #6, they'll be in a 10-page story in the Marvel Holiday Special in December.
