"Blood Rush" Choreography by Ma Cong, Excerpt-Pas de Deux "in Motion"

"Blood Rush" is a new creation by Choreographer Ma Cong, it was premiered at one of the production "About Tango" in Tulsa Ballet's 07-08 season. It has 5 different movements, showed in different motions, and presented a "Ballet Tango". This pas de deux section is one of the high light part in this ballet, Ma was inspired by principal Dancer Daniela Buson's passion, created this pas de deux for her and another principal dancer Wang Yi.

Wow, just lovely. Perfect combo or soulful dancing, music and choreography.  Still keeping that subtle 'tango feel' without making it cheesy. Amazing dancers, too!

I was there opening night -- but until now I couldn't grasp how intricate, how organic, how expressive and refined and musical every movement is. Wang Yi and Buson are extraordinary performers -- forever Daniela -- one of the greatest ballerinas who has ever graced the state of Oklahoma!
