John Lennon signed the paperwork that officially broke up the Beatles at the Polynesian Resort on December 29, 1974.

John, Julian and I (May Pang) left New York the following day to spend Christmas in Florida. On December 29, 1974, the voluminous documents were brought down to John in Florida by one of Apple's lawyers... He finally picked up his pen and, in the unlikely backdrop of the Polynesian Village Hotel at Disney World, ended the greatest rock 'n' roll band in history by simply scrawling John Lennon at the bottom of the page.

@Darienbeagle It really is. I went into the Grand Floridian yesterday to film and its nice too. I'm thinking about filming all of the resorts. There are so many of them and they are all so unique.

One of the best hotels for overall atmosphere.

The Polynesian is beautiful. We stayed at the Beach Club in May 1997 (first time at Disney World), April 1999, and June 2006. It was originally built in 1991 and is connected to the Yacht Club Resort. It's across from the Boardwalk and the Swan and Dolphin Resorts. You can also take a boat to Epcot and MGM (now Hollywood) Studios from there. We also went to Sea World in 1994 when I was 1 1/2 years old.

I stayed here in November 1981, and August 1983, 1985, and 1986. I will be at Walt Disney World for the first time since 1999 in March.
