"Alphega, Part 1 is a short animated film that I produced while in Sheridan College's Post-Grad Computer Animation Program. It's the first couple of minutes of what I hope will eventually be an 8 to 10 minute film. I won't go into too much commentary on what's happening in this first part of the film because that might reveal more than I want to and possibly spoil it for the viewer when I finally present the entire film. I will say that the story line has quite a deep curve to it and the character goes through some extremes during the ensuing adventures - this first part is really just introducing the character. It's sort of a teaser for the film I still hope to create." -Risto Turunen

AHHHH I'm sooo proud of him!!! :D After working over 30 years as a free-lance illustrator/ fine artist, he decided to go back to school to become a computer animator as well... and wow, continues to impress! =)

  • Did you use poser to animate this, DAZ studio ? I am looking for a way tpo do animations where it does not take forever to do, and the rendering does not take more than a day... since I have done animation before, but it took about two days just to render a 60s clip.

  • @zanaelf He used Maya to create the animation and Mental Ray to render, so yeeeeah, it took him a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time to create this...lol.

  • That must've taken forever

  • @Nostigex lol it did!!! I remember visiting my parents for a week and a half and all I saw everyday from 9 am to 6 pm was the back of his head and that sun he was workin' on...lol. You've gotta have a lot of patience, dedication, creativity & brilliance to make something like this happen! :)

    Oh,we all come from far away,at the same time not.

    God is everywhere. God is home,not one star or a star-system.

    I think we all travel through the universe and experience all forms of life.

    There is no where that god is not,therefor no where that isn`t home.

    God= love,light,universe,goddess,life,energy etc. :)
