Stray Cat Stuck in a Tree

I called a professional tree climber to save this cat who has been stuck in a tree about 50 feet tall for days. The climber spooked the cat and the cat jumped to another tree like a dumbass. This is day #7 for the cat being stuck there. I tried to call animal control but they refused to use a dart gun because the officer was like 80 years-old and didn't want to waste their tranqulizer darts. Time is running out for this cat. As of 10:26 p.m. CST; the cat is still stuck and climbed about 20 feet higher. The cat does not belong to me.

I went back to look in the tree the next morning and it was gone. I can say that I really did all I could to help the poor cat. Guess he or she finally came down on his/her own. Never saw the cat again after that.

Tranquilizer darts are used frugally as the animal has to be secured and immediately transport to a veterinarian. If the cat is in a tree, the Officer can not ensure that he can secure the cat. If the cat is shot with the tranquilizer dart and then scurries higher up, it could well jeopardize its health more. Also depending on the power of the shotgun utilized, the dart could blow a hole through the cat. Ensuingly, it is not prudent or advised to use tranquilizer darts on animals that small.
