because the abarth engine was fully prepared for competition, just imagine yourself if a standard 240HP honda engine was prapared at the same level as abarth engine nowadays. probably about 300hp should be expected.

I drive this fiat with this engine in rallies for 3 years and i had not a single failure or problem with the engine or gearbox itself, only once had some problems with fuel pump. for previous years i had to rebuild fiat TC engine at least 15 times due to numerous failures

With all respect to abarth 16v fuel injected engine i have to say that in my opinion it is not as good as honda engine. it is 30 years of development, improvements and materials. I do not care what honda puts into this engine but they give probably 100,000km warranty on it when bought new and abarth had probably about 100work hours for the engine(if not even less). the top power of abarth engine was 231HP(at least as far as i know not 255HP). There is actually nothing to compare.

@savvaske35 i doub't that fiat has won 3 year world championship if it hasn't been reliable and that was 30 years ago.no titan rods like honda no titan valve springs or valve retairnes and that kugelfischer injection is old stuff but still managed to make 255hp in the year 1980.if you compare honda and fiat,fiat engine have power from 2000rpm until 8000rpm and is not dead below 6000 rpm like honda.if honda is so reliable why does it never win enything?!!

your 131 is better than abarth with this F20C honda, and have greater peaks at high rpm. Good choice, if youwouldn't tell us it's a honda motor, i wouldn;t even imagine.

The sound is an abarth sound. love it.
