  • Pelican or Surefire?

  • @BloodSeeker117 Go with whichever one has the features and price you're looking for. Both are extremely solid products and I also use both myself.

  • @Brian86992DH I want something bright and sturdy for cheap. They are both sturdy so cheap and bright

  • @BloodSeeker117 If you want a smaller light and don't mind buying batteries then go with the Surefire. The Pelican is brighter and uses a rechargeable battery but it is also much larger.

  • "Long Distance Reflector".,.. Haha, the Streamlight Super Tac eats the 7060 for breakfast.

  • Unfortunately the Streamlight would break before you could even find what you're trying to light up.

  • well you can still use rechargeable cr123a battery and the battery is more powerful because it has 3.6v and 4.2v if it is fully charged.

I suggest you to check video from MuvoTx, he has many nice video review

  • @nerdagedon2012 I cannot stand using streamlights any longer. As the person below you commented; it would break before you found something to light up. They are not durable at all and that is an opinion shared with a large portion of my coworker. Pelicans and magchargers are popular lights that actually seem to last.

  • Ah ok thanks man!

  • They are in different classes.

  • The Super Tac is certainly the best valued light I have ever bought. I have Surefires, and they're great, but you're spending 200+ dollars to even compete with the Super Tac. The batteries last quite a while, it's regulated.

My only complaints would be that it did not come with a lense cover and its large reflector give at least the illusion that a drop could inflict some bad damage, have yet to drop it thankfully. The grip is solid on it.

  • then you will like the new 8060 from them 6 hours battery life at 190 lumens

  • I like my 7060 too.

I have 3 battery packs so I can run the thing most of the night and charge them up during the day. I guide rainforest tours at my place in Costa Rica....sometimes at night.
